Response to three questions for "The story of an hour"

1. Five important phrases to me are she wept at once, she was young; "free, free, free!", she would live to herself, and the joy that kills.

2. I chose "she wept at once" because the line shows how close Mrs. Mallard is to her husband. I chose "she was young" because it portrays a tragedy to a young woman, and that event is very rare. I chose the line "free, free, free!" because it is about freedom, a theme that i liked. Then i chose "she would live for herself" because that line illustrates her future for herself. Lastly, I chose the line "the joy that kills" because the line portrayed that joy can kill people, which is unexpected for me.

3. My question I have for the story is why did Mrs. Mallard died of joy.
